Behind Eye Candy Project

A concept project by a Breakthrough Photographer ASH CASTRO.

The Idea of the project is to be an "EYE CANDY".

When the Poster for the project was released, everything went to stir, some of the participants if not all are into modeling. In just two days, we've been receiving private messages asking us if they can join the project, As much as we want to accept all their request, be decided to limit it to a certain number so as not to crowd the studio and for us to accommodate the best we can all the participants.

The day we posted the final list of participants for EYE CANDY, Ash and I had no sleep working on the list of participants, replying and answering inquiries, at last, it's time to go home...

Life In a Flash

hi, welcome to my blog site.

before anything else, i would like to introduce myself, my name is Kenn Murakami 24 years old, a Registered Medical Technologist by profession and a freelance model by choice. I am a person who does not conform to what other people think is and isn't right, i do what i do best, be stubborn... but, in a good way or bad... see, i hate it when people dictate what i should do, how i should act, the way i speak and the list goes on and on. I am someone who would do things that to my own knowledge is rightful and fair. Sure they maybe times when unconsciously or consciously, i hurt people around me, but, hey, im not a saint, and im deeply sorry for that, lets just say that sometimes we do things, that to others may seem unrighteous,ill-advised and unfair, but then again, we all have our own ways of surviving and making it thru the day, our own means of living and the veracity is, we just have to live with it. sour but true.

last night while i was scrutinizing my laptop, i found past and present pictures of me with people whom i shared my life with, and glancing on those pictures took me back to those times where the feeling is so surreal at times, but at most in utter glee. Those pictures reminded me that "wow, once in my life i had this opportune moment with these people to enjoy my life with and cherish it to my death bed". Sure there were times when we have different points of views and at times clash or be funneled into an argument, but if you think about it, that's diversity as they call it, people are different and difference is what make life more fun, more thrilling, and worth living for, for without differences life is dull, devoid of fun and excitement, its like living in a barren wasteland alone nothing to talk about or laugh about because if there is, you're also talking about yourself, for all is the same. And so, i decided as i further scrolled on those pictures, one by one, that I thought, I should be sharing these to people and hoping that they be inspired or perhaps make them think that there is something bigger behind those poses, the smiles and the fun that they depict.

hope you guys find time to bring back those gleeful and surreal emotions you've experienced while browsing these pictures i am sharing. And may we all make the most out of the lifetime the creator has so lovingly given us.

This picture was taken last November when we had our high school reunion, everybody seems to be in sheer joy seeing their high school friends again. And so we cant help it but pose our best, or not, haha for our little life's souvenir.

My friends, next to me is my friend who's into modeling and so am i... just started.. haha... and my other friend on the far right, a medical technologist like me as well.

This one, with my other friends, the one in yellow is a nurse and the rest are IT's.. cool!!! more beer!!!!

What a mouth.. haha... my Korean friend at coffee bean, they so love coffee, or is it? CHILL!!!

Nothing really, they just love taking pictures, in this case, NACHOS... keep on cracking!!!

coffee bean!!! keep on brewing!!! haha

told yah.. they just love taking pictures, this time juice avenue

coffee again? seattle's best this time.

now what? shopping at shopwise? let's bag them all up shall we?

now that's what i call fun!! after strolling the city we went further north to hundred islands, we stayed there the whole day, island hopping, food tripping, picture taking, swimming!!!, chatting and pretty much anything else under the sun (literally) haha...

after enjoying the beach in hundred islands, we then went to Baguio city, the summer capital of the Philippines, to enjoy the cool breeze, we went to pick strawberries, went to museums, yada yada... we spent the night there and went back to la union to rest for a while...

after hundred islands and Baguio we went further south, to Subic, wahh!!! beach again.. it was fun spending time with my Korean friends, though at times we don't understand each other, but as they say, actions speaks louder than words. apparently...haha

Tagaytay

My internship friends from East Avenue Medical Center, we went to Quezon for the holidays. We stayed there roaming the province for 2 days after which, those who still has the energy to hit the roads came with us and headed straight to Tagaytay to enjoy it's cool air and eat dinner...

My co-interns again from the hospital and our staff, we went to a beach somewhere in La Union at headed to Baguio. Again..That night we went to an abandoned seminary to experience first-hand encounter with ghosts. The place is so creepy, Unfortunately, not a good time to go ghost hunting, taking into consideration our number. More friends followed that day. I guess ghosts are sometimes shy too.. haha.. I keep coming back to Baguio to unwind, I just so love the place, so peaceful, people are friendly and the scenery is simply breathtaking.

Boys night out at a friend's abode.

With friends in Music Match a ktv bar along Tomas Morato In Quezon City.

With friends, we watched a horror movie "feng sui" in greenbelt mall, Makati. The movie was great by the way...

In front of a giant Buddha in Japan, my family lived there that time, so my sister and I get to visit them every year.

We were in Tokyo when this picture was taken, I so love Ramen, but when served the food, I'm really thinking on how to finish it, because the serving is for two people... wah!!! ITEDAKIMASU!!!

Me and my sister strolling Tokyo by night, enjoying the endless streets of bright and blinking lights of Tokyo.

The girl in blue is her birthday that time... we went to a restobar to celebrate her birthday!!! pour the beer! keep it coming!!! KAMPAI !!!!

This was taken when i was still working at Clinica Caritas, as a Medical Technologist of course. Wow, i miss processing urine, blood, stool(not really), extracting blood, i miss the centrifuge!!! chemistry machine!!!! and most specially, I MISS THE MICROSCOPE!!!

Party with my co-interns and staff from United Doctor's Medical Center. I kinda don't like my shot here, but it appears that everyone's enjoying in the picture so i took considerations... haha..

Another night spent in a hospital, 24-hour duty, just finished eating dinner, we took these pictures just to kick the night a little bit... It's so tiring working in a hospital, doing this and that, processing human stuffs, so i guess taking sometime off and having fun is not much to ask, is it? and finally after an irksome night we can finally go home and sleep the whole day only to prepare for another day at the hospital.

This was taken the night before i left for Japan. I can't help but play some tricks with my friends, i persuaded the 2 girls to agree to a "ceremony" promising them that they will have a glimpse of their future husbands, only to find out that its a bogus. When your'e comfortable with your friends you can do anything just to keep the fun flowing, just as long as its not hurting them, then we took pictures of our foolish game and went on to enjoy the night... by the way, the next day, my flight was at 10 am... Having the fun that we had, i was asleep the entire flight, my sister just woke me up when we arrived at Narita airport in Japan.

Welcome Aboard

To readers, this blog is a figure of my imagination my playfulness when it comes to words
please do not be duped to believing what's before you now, dig deeper into
the meanings of these lines, simply put "READ BETWEEN THE LINES".

Some of you would find this useless, but its my blog, i write what i want to write.

What is a friend? for me its NOTHING...
"NOT" a "THING". yeah. its not an
inanimate object that you can dispatch
anytime you choose to. A friend is not
a thing you leave behind when useless
and notice them only when they are
needed. A fri"END" should stay 'till
the end. Someone who is steadfast.
There are many kinds of friends...
there is a:

GOOD friend. someone who always
say "OO" whether its right or wrong,
someone who disregards the
repercussions of their answers, after
all, he is a G"OO"D friend.

BAD friend. someone who is up to "ADs"
as in advertisement. Someone who uses
you for their own good, someone who
hides behind you in order to cloak
their flaw. He is someone who shows you to
his other friends and boasts that he
and you are amigos. He is someone who
needs you for their paltry motives to
benefit themselves and right after
disappears when you are no longer of
use to them. don't feel bad.. after all
they are your b"AD" friends.

A nice friend: hmmmm a nice friend is a
friend who is n"ICE". yes, an ice
there are different kinds of ice.
A thin ICE, is a friend who is always
there for you when you are at ur
lowest. He is not tired of helping you
and listening to the same old stories
you have, someone who hangs with you in
desperate times.
A thick ICE, is someone who can take
all the pain to help ease your burden.
He is someone who stands thick and
strong when you are weak and thin.(not
literally) A chipped ICE, is someone
who also hurts when you are hurt, who
is there to lend you a hand and be with
you thru who knows what. though
sometimes they can be cold but who
knows? after all ICE melts. They melt
when u say "sorry" they melt when you
say "peace" and most probably melt when
you say "I NEED YOU".

There is also a b"EST" friend, some one
who knows you in and out, someone who
would know if you're ok or not without
telling them, someone who knows your
deepest thoughts, your ultimate
desires,your fondly dreams, your
wackiest ideas, he is someone who
cares, and someone who shares. He is
someone who stays when all the r"EST"
are gone.
and lastly the meanest friend ever
imagined...the one no one would ever
dream of meeting. A PEST FRIEND. yah
you heard it. A PEST. he is someone who
is nothing but a PEST. he is someone
who knows you. yeah, knows how to
PESTER your life, someone who is there
when everything are wonderful to PEST
them up. wow! i cant say more... they
simply are PESTS.

A FRIENDSHIP is a bond made by many to
nourish their lives, to guide one
another to become a better beings, treat
your friends like a crew in a ship.
that's a "FRIEND" and a "SHIP".. a
FRIENDSHIP in short.
In a ship you entrust your
life,thoughts,ideas,dreams,goals yada
yada to your shipmates, you look
after the other, because no other
people will immediately be there to
rescue you when the ship is sinking. of
course, some would say whats a FAMILY
MEMBER DOING? yes, yes, you have your
family, but admit it or not, there are
things that are easier to tell your
friends about than telling it to their
families. Thats a fact, and i stand
firm on that matter.
In a ship you eat the same food, drink
the same water, share the cool and
sometimes unforgiving breeze of the
rough and calm seas as you sail thru
life. No one is above or below you.
When one is sad, you do not neglect
their feelings, you empathize, you feel
what he feels because you sail thru
life hand-in-hand on the same ship,
which makes you more than just friends,
more than just brothers and sisters. It
makes you bonded together. So,
choose the people who would jump aboard
your "FRIEND""SHIP", choose the ones
who deserve your trust, your care and
your love, yes, love.. because there
are also 2 other types of friends i
meant mentioning last. A "GIRL" friend and
a "BOY"friend. who in time would share
their life with you.
good luck on your crew finding and Bon
Voyage aboard the M/S FRIEND SHIP.

Quarter life

I wrote this blog some 1 and a half year ago when i was in japan.
the emotions and insights when this was written remains resolute
to this date. please find time to read.

thank you...

To all readers, blog admirers and critiques alike. I now
reach the quarter-life as they call it.
A point of reality. As a graduate and a
professional, A registered Medical Technologist that i am,
i am bound to find the real meaning of life in this land or
another, my endeavors won't be easy as
imagined, but my dreams are steadfast
and so is my will to achieve it.Things
are not achieved without hardships,
pain we must endure, but only through
this do we only reap the rewards of our
constancy. its not an easy battle to
fight, living, i believe is more painful and wonderful
at the same time than dying.
it's funny that everyday we wake up and
do things that we must in order to
survive, its a treacherous road we are
in, but mind you in every pain that we
endure, in every heart aches we succumb
into and in every sadness we struggle
to get out of, reminds us that we are
lucky to experience life as it is, for
it is only when we experience all of
these that we learn to appreciate the
things that we have. Life is about
struggle. Life is about fighting for
what we believe in, life is a continuous
battle for love,a love that everybody
so arduously die for to have...
As is, life is gauged by how we age,
they say the older we become the more
enlightened we are, true, but NOT. "Life
is not about the amount of breathe we
take in, it is about the moments that
take our breath away". In life, we meet
people everyday, converse with them and
bid them our goodbye's. But only in our
dimmest moments do we find a genuine
friendship that stands out above the
rest, a unique "light that's shines so
brightly when all lights go out"... We
live not only to make our lives better,
but to share it with people who makes
our lives worth living, treasure every
people you meet, say "thank you" and "i
love you"(of course only when you mean
it). seize that moment while you are still capable
before its too late. We understand
life and things that are around us only
when we listen, away from shadows of
modern technology a place where our
minds are at peace and our emotions
calm. i am in a country, not my own
right now, a place they call "the land
of the rising sun". And here had i
realized my life's worth. What is this
self-actualization for? its nothing
really, but it matters, alot, for only
when we see the grotesque face of life
do we begin to understand and
appreciate the astounding beauty of
living, of life. we don't experience
relief when we are not in pain, right?
only when we are in pain do we know
relief. only when we are thirsty do we
feel quenched, and only when we
experience heartaches do we find love,
and truly understanding the complexity
of living and dying, do we see things
clearly. Do the things that need be
done, try? "try you must not, there is
no "try" DO you must"... to all my
friends,colleagues and acquaintances:
good luck in all your life's endeavors,
may you learn from your fall, may you
be humbled by your achievements, for
when the day of our glorious life comes
may we say: "I DIDN'T EXIST....I LIVED
A LIFE". god bless to all of you.. and
thank you for being a part of my life.
May we have all the time we need to do
what must be done. LIVE YOUR LIFE.
god bless...

thank you all and god bless...
